「The Tenth Indoor Drumline」成立，性質為室內敲擊樂隊伍。本計劃目標是希望隊員能透過敲擊樂作媒介，從而得到啟發和成長，了解自己並學習與他人相處，從團體的交流中建立自律風氣及默契。 同時，本計劃希望為喜愛室內行進敲擊團的大眾提供交流平台，一同精進行進與敲擊樂技藝，享受室內行進敲擊樂所帶來的樂趣。 而本計劃亦期待能為香港不同單位提供合適表演，並樂意參與社區義工演出。本計劃同時亦有意參加任何香港或海外舉辦的交流、比賽、演出等行進樂表演。 本計劃取名「The Tenth」，源於以色列機構「Red Team」著名的「第十人理論」：無論前面九個人的結論多正確，第十人也會提出異議，透過仔細端詳核查找出前面九人的不足，從而完善自我。本計劃希望能成為這位第十人，學習並分析不同的資訊，不拘泥於單一答案，挑戰一切的假設及判斷。不停的思考，加強並改善自我，永不自滿，永不停步。

The Tenth Indoor Drumline is an indoor percussion ensemble based in Hong Kong. The aim of the project is to use percussion as a medium to foster individual musical inspiration and personal creative growth. It is hoped that members not only can discover about themselves, but also to learn to cooperate with other percussion enthusiasts in the process.  The Tenth Indoor Drumline aims to provide a sharing platform for all the passionate percussionists, local and international, to engage in various indoor performances and enjoy different collaborations.

The Tenth Indoor Drumline is eager to collaborate with different Hong Kong local groups. We take pride in contributing to our local community. We are passionate in providing musical performances to charitable organisations. In addition, we also welcome all kinds of performance, exchange or competition opportunities.

Our name – The Tenth – is adopted from the Israeli Red Team’s doctrine: The Tenth Man. It is said that even if nine people completely agree that a strategy or a plan is correct, a tenth person should take a contrarian view to avoid pitfalls of groupthink, in order to spot out fatal flaws in favour of group agreement. We hope that we can be the tenth person in the percussion field. We would like to congregate ideas from various sources, learn from different performers, and analyse information to challenge existing theories and come up with our unique style. Through constant reflections, we should grow and improve.
